In practice, it has pros and cons. Standardized application of labor introduction can help promote natural delivery and reduce the rate of cesarean section. However, if was not applied properly, it would endanger the health of both mother and child, leading to maternal and perinatal complications, even as well as extreme complications such as uterine rupture, amniotic fluid embolism, and hemorrhagic shock.Labor Induction: Theory and Practice discusses the theoretical bases, practice points of labor induction and concerns from clinicians, including the indications and contraindications, timing and method choice of labor introduction, the implementation and monitoring of each technique, the management and clinical experience of labor induction in high-risk pregnancy, and how to implement the safety management.
