四川盆地大川中地区须家河组的勘探相继在广安及潼南地区获得了显著成效，其间，广安-安岳-合川地区须家河组钻探中油气显示频繁，初步展示了研究区须家河组巨大勘探潜力及前景。同时，前人研究表明，研究区处于须家河组自生烃源中心之一，生烃强度大，其须家河组保存条件好，具备形成须家河组大油气田的地质条件。本书结合现有地质认识及钻探成果，利用新处理地震资料和近期新钻、测井资料，开展川中广安-白庙地区须家河组储层预测及流体预测，结合地质资料综合评价须家河组的储层分布规律，在综合评价的基础上优选钻探井位，对该区增储上产和扩大勘探成果有重要现实意义。
