本书为进一步认识汶川地震滑坡特征、后续暴雨型泥石流活动特点和地震地质灾害危险与风险演变提供了宝贵的信息和深刻认识。我们希望它能为强震山区的灾规划、治理工程和灾后重建工作提供帮助。图集的靠前章介绍了汶川地震诱发滑坡和滑坡坝在空间上的分布规律，包括滑坡坝溃坝模拟及滑坡坝敏感评价。靠前章还介绍了地震诱发特大山体滑坡的典型实例。图集的第二章展示了汶川县典型研究区1:5万地震滑坡详细编目制图和震后泥石流编目制图，其中包括汶川地震的映秀震中地区。同时，基于大量高分辨率遥感影像，针对2008年汶川大地震震中附近区域，分析了震后7年内的滑坡活动演化规律及其控制因素。本章还重点阐述了区域尺度上的泥石流敏感分析和风险评价方，展示了减灾措施实施前后汶川县145条泥石流的敏感、危险、易损和风险评价结果。图集的第三章重点对单沟泥石流的若干科学问题进行了研究。提出了研究区泥石流风险制图要素和风险定量评价模型与方，包括降雨重现周期推定、泥石流的冲出模型、泥石流强度指标、易损曲线和基于经济损失的一整套风险制图理论和方。图件还集中展示了泥石流流域的物源区、流通区和堆积区特征，同时该章介绍了泥石流早期预警系统的设计和泥石流综合治工程。
